There are times when presenting on camera could do with ‘breaking up’ a bit to switch between the presenter and something else stimulating on screen. A PowerPoint presentation is a nice way to give a viewer another scene to look at or read whilst a presenter is speaking.

Following a few simple guidelines will have you to be prepared for your video or live presentation, and give you the confidence that nothing can go wrong, or if it does then you can manage it. So, rehearse and prepare, listen to the technical crew and organizers, make friends with them, particularly the cameraman, sound engineer and director – they can all help you if things go wrong; make sure they are in the right position and frame of mind to offer support!
